While working front desk, I took both in-person, online, and phone reservations for cabin guests while interacting and giving trip advice to resort guests.

Ø  North Fork Coal Mine Methane Working Group – Delta, CO

Ø  This group collaborates to find solutions that limit the GHG emissions inherent in mineral extraction, Works with community stakeholders to create a solution involving coal mine methane capture. Duties include: note-taking, creating meeting agendas, research, and publishing/distributing meeting minutes.

Ø  The Western +Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley Disaster Relief Fund is the brainchild of my colleague Amanda Turner. Together, we researched and met with both organizations in order to create a disaster relief fund managed by the CFGV, which selects recipient organizations for relief funds.  Currently, I manage requests by Western students to activate of the account.

Ø  I went with a group from my church to help the elderly community do simple yard and landscaping work during the summer. These tasks were essential to allowing the older members of the town to be able to maintain a garden. A lot of time, yards are difficult for people to maintain and in this community, many could not afford to hire people to landscape.

Ø  I was a member of the GO Leadership team at my church for many years. This volunteer group planned events for the high school and middle school youth groups such as dances, lock-ins, and community service activities. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I typically volunteered from 7pm-9pm to set-up and help run both the 6th grade and the 7th/8th grade groups.  In 2010 and 2011, I also led small groups for the Confirmation candidate classes that took place on Wednesdays.
